I think the reason metalgate had brief traction is that it's weird that SJWs haven't come after metal - because, overall, it does have people in it who represent the type of people SJWs generally come after - so it had some believability.

But, as far as I can tell, SJWs have never bothered to find out that Hetfield is a gun nut hunter, Mustaine is a racist blob, Slayer has plenty of stuff that could be considered privileged, Anthrax was at one time called Storm Troopers Of Death, Danzig has written plenty of songs about violence against women, Axl is a wife beater, etc...

Oh, yeah, I'm not saying metal people are dicks. I love metal. I'm just saying it's shocking given the number of right wing people in metal bands that SJWs have largely left them alone.

The SJW/non-SJW conflicts happens in subjects that people who care about Social Justice enjoy. Team Social Justice likes video games. Team Social Justice likes comic books. Team Social Justice likes movies.

For there to be a traditional metal/SJW metal conflict, there needs to exist SJW metal.
