The noble Baroness was right to be horrified. It is horrifying. That it's an everyday thing now doesn't make it any less so.

Politics.

If the police and CPS can't get a conviction with what they have already, new laws won't help.

(This may be a touch cynical - the new law will apparently have a more severe sentence.)

I'm surprised by the manga verdict. I remember the Oz trial, over a "school kids" issue which included a pornographic comic of Rupert the Bear.

Initially found guilty, the three defendents were acquitted on appeal.

I think my brother still has a copy of "School Kids Oz".
