I'm surprised the Facebook PR department wanted to talk to him. Wonder what that was all about.

Martin has to finish the book next year because after the next season there is no more print material to base stuff on.

Yes, HBO knows where the story is going but here's the thing:

The publishing house is going to insist that he publish stuff before those plot points air on television, because if it's on TV first books sales will be ridiculously lower than if the book comes out before the shows.

People will still watch the shows if there are spoilers in the book. But they won't buy the books if there are spoilers in the show itself.

Plus, next season is going to be really, really weak, so even HBO is going to want to have strong published material out to give people a reason to watch Season Six.

Next season, more boobies?

I noticed the last season had significantly fewer boobies than previous seasons, and I think, story-wise, it was probably the strongest season yet?

I predict a Daenarys lesbian scene.

The actress who plays Daenarys had it written into her contract after season one - no more nudity and no more lesbian scenes. Otherwise they would have had her eating out her haidmaiden the way she does in the books.

And, yeah, by casting all the Dorne women they are clearly going for boobs next season to make up for the dearth of interesting stuff.

Body double?

But no, you're right, the nudity will come from the Dorne women.

I'm going to have to google what the Dorne stuff has to do with the plot of any of the ongoing stories, because I cannot recall off the top of my head.

I would be astonished if a team of editors from his publishers aren't standing over George 24/7 cracking whips and shouting 'Write faster!' The pressure will be on to have that book on the shelves when the new season starts on HBO.

Very intense pressure.

So much of FFC and DWD is just Martin killing time until Danarys is grown up enough to come into her own and that's clearly what the WOW book is going to be about.

I dunno, I'd love to see her killed off.

I doubt he'll kill of someone with such an extensive storyline that so far has nothing to do with the rest of the storylines.

She has to exist for a major reason.

When I was on Paxil it completely took away any and all interest in sex for me. Like, Stoya could have been in front of me naked and I would have probably yawned. I certainly would have been bored as all hell. Even masturbation seemed like "why the hell did I used to waste time with that?"

Lots of other anti-depressants have the same effect (though it varies from person to person.)

So, if I was someone who had pedo urges and felt bad about them I think what I would do is get my doctor to experiment with anti-depressant drugs until they found one that nuked my sex drive out.

Mirtazapine did that for me. There was just... that place in the brain where you try and get to, in order to climax? That place just wasn't there anymore.

I had that with Lexapro. Paxil went beyond that. The idea of sex just seemed silly and I couldn't imagine wanting to do it or why I used to want to do it.

I can remember when I came off the Mirtazapine, a few months after actually, waking up in the morning with the first morning-erection I'd had in almost 2 years. And I was like, hey, look at that, it still works.

Strangest thing, the way these pills interact with the arousal centers in the brain.

Which is to say, yes, I absolutely agree, there must be one of these pills that would switch off the sex center for pretty much everybody.

App?

And I'm happy enough with the Ironborn. But then I'm only watching the show, and I've only read the first two books.
