Here's interesting... I did know a little about about the Kiel Mutiny at the end of the wat. Afterwards, as you likely know, most of the German High Seas fleet ended their careers in Scotland, deliberately scuttled in Scapa Flow, the largest such scuttling ever to occur ( ... )

Companies put all sorts of things on their packaging if you don't stop them. I asked someone recently to think about not flushing wet wipes down their toilet, as it causes disgusting blockages of fat in the sewers. They insisted it was okay, because it said "Flushable" on the packaging!

That just means "yeah, go ahead and flush it, not our problem."

Accepting promiscuity-having lots of (mostly) casual sex with lots of different people-as a valid lifestyle choice is perhaps the final frontier in creating a sex-positive, open-minded, sexually tolerant society.

Actually I think it is harder to get people to accept having committed relationships with multiple people; possibly because "committed relationships" need a good deal more "accepting" in order to be "accepted". (for instance if you are living and raising children together as more-than-a-couple you might want to benefit from such things as "being legally the parent of these children" or "getting a spousal visa" or such like that you might care less about with a Friend-with-benefits arrangement).

(plus I hate it when people are all "this is the last unacceptable thing" about whatever *their* thing is - lots of things are "unacceptable" (and shouldn't be) you don't need to be the MOST OPPRESSED PERSON EVER in order to complain about your oppression!)
