Yeah, the reality TV idea has a number of problems with it. The gay men are trying to vote the straight man out, but how is the straight man supposed to vote? He 'knows' that everyone else is gay, so his vote is going to be purely strategic, unrelated to the perceived gayness of his housemates. But then everyone is going to be voting like that, so you end up with just your standard Survivor-style alliance-based voting, except everyone is an awful gay stereotype for no real reason.

Although, I suspect the intersection of 'straight men who have awful stereotypes about gay men' and 'straight men who are willing to hang out with 11 gay men for a chance at a million dollars' is fairly small, so you wouldn't even get any of the real awful stereotypes, just boring, awkward "Boy, I sure do like interior design, how about you?" ones.
