On that Jenga thing - it does look like they've at least altered the game for the female market. They didn't simply make it pink. They, instead, combined it with one of the most popular games in America for pre-teen girls. So, to me, that seems less of a "let's make Jenga for girls" and more like "let's expand the Girl Talk line."

And it really does look like a game with specifically female angles to it. I.e. a 12 year old boy is not going to want to be asked "what boy do you think is cute?"

And researching more they've changed the entire strategy of the game. Since you have to answer the question on the block you remove you might be tempted to not remove the easiest block if it has a particularly embarrassing question on it. Which means they've made the game much more difficult for girls - which is a nice change from either "just make it pink" or "let's make it easier for girls."

See, there's a whole range of games there - and very little of it has to be "for girls". Sure, girls _tend_ to be more about talking about relationships than boys, but there's an opportunity for a whole range of "Jenga - with questions!" games, one of which would be about relationships, but without dictating that if you're interested in talking about relationships then you're a girl, and if you're not, then you're a boy.

(As someone who is massively more into talking about relationships than most people, and definitely not a girl, I'd feel all excluded, for a start! And I suspect you have female friends that would rather discuss pretty much anything else than relationships.)

Twenty quid for a little box of blocks?
I want lessons from whoever taught them how to get away with that.

Will do!

Having been in ridiculous brainstorming sessions before, I could empathise (although, thankfully, none that ridiculous)
