I had a nasty experience yesterday with Twitter and their new hashtag autocomplete. If they can keep #CumOnHerFace out of the trending tags list, they can keep it out of the four autocomplete suggestions, especially if all one has typed is #c. I did not need that getting in my face (as it were) on an easy-going Saturday morning.

#h is for HugeBoobs
#u is for Upskirts

It takes autocomplete all the letters #autocom for it to run out of suggestions.

Interesting. When I type #c at the top I get "Crimewatch", "Cleavage Thursday", "Crimewatch" and "Competition".

Cleavage Thursday is a little offputting - but I don't get #CumOnHerFace. I do get #CumTribute for #cu though.

While the general point that periods are not fun is a true one, I have to say that the period described in that post is a very, very, VERY bad one. Until I started regulating them with birth control, I had pretty bad periods because of an endocrine issue, but still the indignities described in that post are more disruptive and uncomfortable than anything I've ever experienced or heard about. While some of the annoyances she lists are familiar (stepping out of the shower, for example, or GI problems during the period) for the most part they make me think she should see a doctor straight away.

Julie's periods are pretty much like that. Except for the throwing up. She gets nauseous, but doesn't actually throw up.

She's been to various doctors, to be told "Yes, that's normal".

(And she can't use hormonal birth control, as the various ones she's tried all have unpleasant side-effects.)

Edit: One thing that _has_ helped is the cancer drugs. Imatinib seems to have reduced her oestrogen levels in a useful manner.

None of those things show up as suggestions when I start typing them into Google.

Are the results regionalized or did the UN just make them up?

I just typed them into google.co.uk.

This is fun!

I get men should: always pray, never get married, and for some reason "men shoulder bags."

"Its population of 126 million [link to japantimes], which has been shrinking for the past decade..."

That's just not true; even the article the guardian links to says it's only the second year the population has shrunk ever. It's typical of how the "depopulation time bomb" panic is based on making things up.
