You know, if Valve never had plans for HL2 Ep3, they really should never have finished Ep2 on such a massive cliffhanger. It still irritates me.

No reason the Cliffhanger can't lead directly into HL3.

Not at all, just it's what... 5 or 6 years since Ep2 came out? That's a looooong time to make your fans wait for the conclusion to a story they were heavily invested in.

Almost George RR Martinesque. :)

Yes - Bailey, my unisex name, became popular 30 years after I got it. I was teased mercilessly as a child but now wherever I go women are all, "oh I LOVE that name!"

I was named after father who was named after his father who was named after his grandfather, Bailey Washington Birdsong, who died in the Civil War.

We have at least one Dakota in the neighborhood. I have to giggle.

My name (Jamie) made it onto the list. I'm not sure precisely how I ended up with the name, but it seems to have become increasingly feminine lately. Spell it any other way and it is pretty much only feminine.

Wouldn't "socialized healthcare" be where the healthcare providers were owned by the workers, or at a stretch, the state? So Reagan's requirement that private healthcare providers have to treat people doesn't make that "socialized", but then neither does Medicare, or Obamacare. (And for that matter, neither does the healthcare systems of those developed countries which have private insurance or privately-owned hospitals, unless the owners of the hospitals are the workers.)

I think that, in this case, they're using the US definition of "socialized" which means that the government gets to tell you to do something.

After all, if the government tells you that you have to treat people for free then it's effectively taken ownership of some of your means of production.

As it was explained to me, in America, "socialism" means "communism" and "communism" means "festering pustule on the nipple of Satan".

Having written power station planning application press releases in the past I would treat with the caution the 70,000 solar panels powers 5,000 homes = 14 panels per home. The X thousand homes is from the same stable of press release verbiage as the size of Wales but considerably less accurate.
