That would be an amusing twist, if UKIP respond to Cameron and Milliband's charge to the right by stepping back and saying hey, you know you guys keep saying we're the extremists? And staking himself firmly on the vacated middle ground.

I doubt he will. But it does make me chuckle that Farage can make Cameron look like the idiot.

It's misnamed, though! It should be called something more like 'You can't proofread proper English under pressure'. Avoiding errors of that kind in your own writing and nitpicking them in other people's are separate skills, and although they're probably correlated they certainly aren't precisely aligned.

(Naturally I completed it too. I think Wikipedia has increased my intolerance of that class of goof, by giving me the ability in many cases to fix them when I see them - now I'm less liable to just sigh and put up with it.)

I got stuck/ bored at level 7 and yes I quite agree with the misnaming.

Oh, I can't do it at all. Then again I am really bad at *everything* under such tight time pressure.

The "kick people when they're down" motivational technique never seemed very promising to me in the first place, though lots of people embrace it wholeheartedly...

Yes, that sums up my thoughts very well, thank you. I really don't understand how anyone could think that would work. Something about becoming determined to have people not kick you when you're down, but if they're the ones being assholes, why should I change? And by the time you've gotten to that point, the original question of whether or not it would be beneficial to change your behavior is lost (or, at least, emotionally charged in a way that's unlikely to be helpful).

EA making money from addictive mass market IAP-based games rather than on the smaller PC gaming market on a platform that didn't have sales on big-ticket items (and sales on more obscure items were undercut by Steam) or a platform where they simply didn't offer their new full price games? *gasp*

Also, in the UK at least, it was significantly cheaper to buy a physical copy of Mass Effect 3 at release than a digital one via Origin.

edit: Okay, so RPS have some graphs. I guess it's a bold move to focus on mobile and consoles when around half your money comes from the PC, but hey - that's their call. (also, my god but IAP and DLC has companies laughing all the way to the bank)

Three times as much from DLC is impressive!

I'm worried that if there is a successful sequel to Dredd then the third film in the series might be called Dr3dd.

I think that Dr3Dd wins the prize for worst collection of alphanumerics used as a title. The capital in the middle just pushes it over the edge.

The ClockTower.

Yes, it's officially "The ClockTower", one word, uppercase T. A University (University!) building.

Makes me twitch.
