Hmm. I am intrigued.

Technically, the right-to-reside test is applied to everyone, it's just that British citizenship gives an automatic pass.

Also, the article refers to the 'resident' test - I'm not sure if it just means the R2R part, or the other part of the full residence test which is that of 'habitual residence'.

Both parts are applied to everyone, and it is possible for British citizens to fail the hab res part.

I'm wondering whether the article is imprecise, and what the challenge is actually going to be.

It will be interesting to see the decision...

Techniques of the Selling Author looks interesting. I was going to comment that it looks regurgitated from McKee's Story, but then realised how old it is, so I guess McKee is the one doing the regurgitating.

I think that's actually one of the more balanced and fair-minded things that the Daily Mail has written. I mean, it's pointing fingers at mad fans/academics who write about this kind of thing, and while that's irritating it's pretty much par for the course. But the write-up of the anthology sounds quite accurate.

It didn't sound accurate to Phil, and he's read it.

Thanks for the NRA article; I needed that, and very much hope it's accurate.
