I've been quite happy with the 350 meg versions. Once you're settled, you stop noticing the quality*. However, for series 3 I downloaded a 750 meg mkv file, and it was great until the AV sync went awry, and there were a few graphical glitches. Nothing I haven't experienced with lesser quality files, but a bit annoying as I spent 5 minutes trying to find the exact AV offset.
* I'm sure Andrew once linked to a study which showed that if you're enjoying what you're watching, it doesn't matter how poor the resolution is, provided a glitch doesn't snap you out of your viewing trance.

If I was staggeringly rich I'd have a tiny PC running XBMC under the TV. As it is I can live with the standard-def versions.

And... apparently ant or dec did... something. I've no idea what they DO do, so nothing was especially a surprise :)
