Cry havoc and let loose the dogs of 'my unreleased console is better than your unreleased console'.

The extra system memory will be handy, fewer loading screens. Beyond that, I can't see the next gen of gaming being all that different to the current gen. Supporting higher resolutions won't make that much difference.

Yup. Slightly prettier, but other than that, I can't see what we'll get out of this generation.

And I'm not sure consumers have £400 burning in their back pockets to buy consoles for games that are going to look more or less just like current gen games. I suppose it will come down to how much money Sony and Microsoft throw at games developers to make their new games exclusives for the new consoles.

(Which is the problem the WiiU currently has, because there are bugger all games for it.)

Especially not since it seems it won't be backwards compatible. I mean I wouldn't expect it to play PS1 or PS2 games but if it won't support PS3 games I can see that putting a lot of people off.
