Two spaces after a full stop is a convention from typewriter days when the font was fixed-width. Now we have things that know how to format text nicely, it's not needed. Save the effort of a keypress!

Naaah, I wouldn't have read that article, because the first paragraph alone would have had me hitting the "close tab" button.

I'm still mourning the loss of the 'indent five spaces before a new paragraph' convention (or two in the case of proper typesetting). I'm not going to break the 'two spaces after a full stop' habit now! Go Sheldon!
