Argh! How do you DO a collective tumblr like that? I wanted to create one for Brio train layouts, but I went round the site account options and couldn't figure it out!

I don't think it's collective - I think it's a single person posting submissions sent in.

I'd add Local Hero to the list of great unseen movies.

I accidentally saw it years and years ago (insomnia and it was on HBO at 3 a.m.) and could not believe how good it was, but nobody I've ever talked to has seen it.

But... when I finally talk them into downloading it or hand a copy to them on a flash drive they always fall in love with it and will spend days talking about it.

Rome Girl watched it five times in a week after I showed it to her the first time.

There should be billboards with those videos on the approaches to that bridge-- that would be more believable than mere warnings and numbers.
