My widely shared suspicion has been that we will never get a UK stream from HBO because Sky Atlantic will have the rights stitched up.

I am certainly part of the wideness of said suspicion.

I assume it's available in the Nordic countries because nobody has bought the rights for cable. If HBO are getting paid by Sky then they have no reason to sell it individually.
