Reading The Daily Mail is a good cure for apathy. There are, in each issue, absolutely guaranteed to be 3 or 4 articles that get my blood boiling in a *quite* different way to that (presumably) intended by the writers!

I am disappointed that no previous links of yours are tagged "omnomnomnom".

Me too. I shall endeavour to tag more links in that manner.

I initially read that title as "It's an owl-eat-lion world", and was disappointed when the resulting article was far more prosaic.

Oh for crying out loud. What did they expect from a lion? I can understand a little kid being upset, but adults?

We had a similar lion incident at the local zoo last year (Maybe the year before?) where a deer got into the lion enclosure and the lions had a very good time. They didn't end up killing it right then and there, but they did end up injuring it enough that it had to be put down. I suspect it was not then fed to the lions because of parasite concerns (and possibly how they put it down, if they used blue juice) but they certainly deserved it.
