Good Post Day

Today is what is technically known as a Good Post Day™.

Waiting for me on the sofa were...
  • The NME, not hugely exciting as this happens every Wednesday.
  • Gig tickets. There may not be a Glastonbury this year (wah!) but I'm not doing too badly for live music. Four gigs already this year and two more pairs of tickets in my possession.
  • A Cd. dwinsper will ( Read more... )

I was under the impression that they were legally obliged to reply, as long it wasn't abusive, ovensive or clearly from some crackpot. I could be wrong though, and it is quite impressive that it only took 5 days,

Hi! Random person here. I worked at the Home Office and helped produce form letters to common political complaints, so it might well be a form letter. Still, it's good to know that your MP is at least responding to his constituents!

You're not that random since I read your journal :-) I think I may even have met you, once, a long time ago!

It's quite long and in depth so I think it may be a form letter that's been padded a bit to make it seem more personal. I thought MPs had to respond to their consituant, but whether they have to or not five days to reply is quite impressive.

It's called 'Exit Music: Songs With Radio Heads' It's a album fully of leftfield Radiohead covers by people like Mark Ronson, and, well he's the old name I recognise. But it's quite good.

Dear old Hugh is getting better at replying - mine came back in fairly short order as well. Of course, Parliament is in recess this week, so he's got nothing better to do than answer letters from pesky constituents.

The ones I've had back from him have largely been personalized but even so, when it comes to ID cards his ideas and arguments as myself and Jack have seen them just seem to be plain wrong.

Also, I'd like to see the letter, but only if you can be bothered :)
