That must have been a typographical error. Probably should have read 114. Even that is extremely uncomfortable. We got the cool front and rain through here yesterday, so today was relatively pleasant for early August. Trouble is that this cool down is only for two days, then back up to around 100. ~~Ken
No, actually it was 141 heat index. The last several weeks, the heat index was in the 130's. Last friday, the National Weather Service reported the heat index at 138. I was just shocked because Ive never seen a temperature reading of 140 something. Its been crazy like this for a few years now, but it seems to go up every year. I remember in 2004, it was 128 one day, in 2005, it was 138 one day, and now I know of a day in 2006 where it was 141. It was 107 in Boston that same day.
