We looked at houses in a brand spankin' new subdivision today! Yes, we're in the market to purchase a home and we're looking to be moved by summer... the end of June at the very latest. I really liked this subdivision! The houses are the perfect price for us and it is about 10 miles from my school so the commute would be ideal. We're still in ( Read more... )

PS: I sure as hell wish I could buy a house for that cheap. Maybe if I save up enough I can buy one outright. :p

I like the Sadie because the garage isn't so much of a focal point. On the others they're really out there. Course, you're lucky. I'm not even going to get a garage.

Good luck.. it's fun and scary! I've shed many tears, but I close three weeks from Friday!

My husband likes that one the best because he likes the way the garage is set back. He said it makes the perfect area in the driveway for a basketball goal for the son he believes we're going to have first. Little does he know that when I get pregnant, it will be with a little girl. :)

You should post floorplans. Mine is so old, of course there is no floorplan.

Okay, I'll do that. :)

I posted some floorplans. I just can't find a floorplan for the last one.

But I think I just like the Sadie because of the color and because there's a little tree in front.

I can't believe how cheap the properties are in your neck of the woods! Damn!

But I can plant lots of little trees on another lot! :)

I didn't not like The Sadie... it just had a smaller living room and the floor plan isn't as open. I wish I could find a floorplan.

Yes, houses are cheap. Not all of them, of course, but there's a lot of underdeveloped area here. That's where the cheap property is.

Just check if it's built over an old Indian burial mound or not. You don't want to live in a house that's built over an old Indian burial mound, Andrea Marie.

Oh, you're right! I never thought about that.

This neighborhood is so awesome, Jay... there's a fishing pond there and everything! Imagine Andrea Marie taking her little boy down to fish in the pond with his little fishing pole on a Saturday morning. :)

didn't you just get a new house a while back?

We didn't buy this house, we're renting. We were living in a small apartment before and needed more space, so we've been renting this house for almost 2 1/2 years. But now I feel that it's time to buy.

The prices are really good... but, that's what happens when you live in the sticks. :)
