The book my prof bought me about dead bodies/decomposition/autopsies/etc. got to me yesterday. It's so thick and heavy that not only it's full of information that might help you on perfecting a crime, but could actually be used as a weapon. I love it already, but I didn't have the time to read much from it yet ( Read more... )

The book about bodies sounds intriguing! I'd love to leaf through it.

As for philosophy - there's a book out there called "Pooh and the Philosophers" and it has all the great thinkers and ideas in it, explained in relation to Winnie the Pooh. You know how all that stuff is in the Pooh books anyway, and they're not just pointing it out, they're also giving an overview on all the philosophical thoughts. Maybe this could make you like Philosophy class again?!

This sounds interesting! I will look it up, when I have a chance :) The main problem with my philosophy class though is the way it's being thought by the profs. We're given really long texts and have to bring answered questions about them or it doesn't count that we've read them. And then we basically work through every one of those questions in class. It's boring. Even if not during reading, then by going through it all again in class. Urgh.
At least this week we're doing Nietzsche, it should be more interesting. :)
