Chicks Before Dicks - PicSpam #01
I wanted to acomplish at least one thing this weekend, so here is my first girl picspam. This is one of the few female fictional characters I really liked. Perhaps it was not an epic character that changed my life or me, but I liked her. And I still believe that her death/ending of her plotline was ridiculous and based strictly on Kripke's hate towards the woman. Enjoy the picspam of:
First Ruby was absolutely beautiful. Had great lines and bigger balls than both Winchesters. She was there, kicking ass and taking names. I really liked her interactions with Dean, but I never believed in Dean/Ruby, even on fandom level. For me it was pretty obvious Ruby was meant to have some relationship sparks with Sam. I obviously understimated Kripke's desire for romance.
First Ruby was a bit like Bobby in the way she treated the boys. They were idjits and she had to save theirs asses all the time. And she sure complained a lot about that. Perhaps because she was like that I truly loved her interaction with Bobby. How she helped him with the Colt that he tested on her. Truly adorable.
Out of all Rubys I'd have to say I loved the first one the most. But it's really hard to decide. As much as I don't have problems with deciding which Meg I like the most, because they all amange to stay similar, Rubys are so different it's hard to decide which one of them is the best. I truly adore the second Ruby, but I really accepted her only after 4x09 and even then the difference between her and the previous one iritated me.
But the second Ruby no doubt worked out with Sam. The dinamics between them would be totally different if she kept the previous meatsuit.
The second Ruby was also much more trustworthy. I always assumed the first Ruby is helping the guys, but has her own reasons for that. The second one got me fooled totaly and I still don't believe in her evilness. Kripke just has issues.
It was obvious that as long as it's a female demon, it can't actually be helpful and working with said demon can't work. And it's not really the demon thing, I mean, Crowley? Yeah, I know, two different characters, but still. Not cool.
I doubt I'd ever bother to really bring Ruby back in fics or something. Mostly because I love slash and angel porn and I found both of those in my current preffered pairing for Sam. I'd much rather concentrate on resurrecting Gabriel, because of that. But still, Ruby was a great character and her relationship with Sam was not only interesting and capturing, but also simply hot.
Too bad we didn't get to keep her for longer, but as far as female characters go, she did quite well in the Supernatural show. :)
