Misinformed Righteousness

Feb 25, 2009 12:13

It was schuhoney  who brought this article to my attention.  And, like her, I almost had to laugh at the ridiculousness this Pastor wrote about anime and Japanese practices, his interpretations of Japanese words, and his promotion of a fight against Japan itself with the support of George Bush because Barrack Obama likes anime, being a liberal, and is ( Read more... )

The fact that he declares this a war on Japan and doesn't bother to disguise it is prejudice so blatant that I am shocked no one notices it anymore. It's become NORMAL, for goodness' sake, that I wonder what these people say in their opinion of "strong wording" to impress their views on their children.

And they wonder why when they are finally caught in their lies, their children lose trust in them and rebel...?

*snork* Not the first time religion's produced a nutcase and won't be the last. Unfortunately.

I'm just amazed these people don't realise they have a reponsibility in being a voice people listen to. Their words have WEIGHT and some people WILL believe them without looking up his information first. For goodness' sake, he's a PREACHER...!

Ugh. I hate it when people like that rise up. Most are cast down again when they are found to be so careless... but some learn and get higher --and those odds scare me.

It's the racism and the bigotry. People like that complain of all the wrong in the world, yet it would be a better place to live if he would take his medication (because he clearly needs it.)

Ahh, wait, perhaps it's just scarily real satire? There are suggestions amidst google that it's a comedy site.

You know he's some religious pervert who actively went looking for all the porn he found and is seeing it where it doesn't exist. I mean, seriously, how messed up do you have to be to see porn in everything? He's trying to get it banned so that someone will stop him from looking at it. That's the problem with religious nutcases; they're all so sexually repressed.

Still, that was as hilarious as it was incredibly sad.

I had the same feeling watching a Catholic Christian "conversion from perversion" program (about gay rehab centres where people are converted back to being straight) and one of the speakers is an admitted "Ex-gay" man now married with kids.

Sexual repression? Count in lies, subterfuge and disregard of welfare or emotional state. I saw that man interact with his kids... and the way he regarded his wife seemed almost like he saw her as an alien.
