It used to be you wanted to say in the room at the cheap hotel closest to the expensive hotel so you could get WiFi. Now, you want the room in the expensive hotel closest to the cheap hotel for Free WiFi.

Isn't that the truth! It makes me crazy. During the summer of Kane in Portland this year we stayed at the hotel right behind the bar where he was playing (pretty historic downtown Portland OR) and the room were great, the breakfast buffet was great, the internet was 10 bucks a day!
Luckliy I have a net card that allows me to get internet pretty much where ever I am, but it sucked to be anyone else in the room (grin).

Ick on the cold bit. I'm REALLY hoping I don't land a cold before I head off to New York City next weekend.
The hotel I stayed in at Oxford (UK), was free. The hotel room was 150 quid (Malmaison Oxford; formerly HMP Oxford/Oxford Castle)
