Expensive hotels have business travelers on expense accounts who must connect. Cheap hotels have vacationers who can take it or leave it, but would like to have it if it doesn't cost extra.

And then there's Las Vegas, where I encountered the highest Internet connection charge I've seen in any of my travels.

Of course, it being Vegas, I suppose it is not surprising they would want to discourage you from spending any time in your hotel room! ;-)

I'm pretty sure I paid the same in Ceasar's as I'm paying now. $15.99 per day. And yeah, it's a deduction but still...!
