This is the most no-fail cake recipe I've ever run across. We got it from a woman the beloved works with who says it's like a German pound cake. We took her word for that, not having German pound cake to compare it to, but it does have a wonderful pound cake texture ( Read more... )

Um... I don't know. The woman we got it from was adamant about the tube pan so I was being all experimental using a bundt pan.

That cake sounds absolutely heavenly. For the time being, I'm adding it to memories, but we'll definitely be trying it. I bet it would be divine with a white glaze drizzled over it, too. ;-)

(For the celsius temperature I'd guess perhaps 200°C - that's what all my cake and muffin recipes say.)
