A very well written story, and you have all their voices to a T. High-class whump of the first degree, with plenty of comfort even during the escaping. Not enough well-written whump out there.

In the meantime, I was a little pressed for time when I left my last comment so let me not be a writmoarplzfag and elaborate on what I liked here:

I'm partial to stories where people end up bloody. I love a good beat-down, and I have a special place in my heart for Tony's reactor failing/being removed for some reason and Steve ending up de-Serum'd (Or just having it highlighted that he isn't really very superhuman, he's just the apex of human physical potential with a healing factor) and this was all a lot less contrived than most fics have to do. This was all very deliberate and sinister and I really, really liked that, plus the actual execution for all of the de-powering. I actually saw this prompt and thought I might take a bash at it, but I really don't think I can top yours. So, kudos.
