Hi everyone!

*waves*

I'd do a little life update but the idea is kind of exhausting at the moment. So I'll just not...

Hi! *HUGS*

How are you?? I feel awful for not having kept up to date with everyone; got a bit overwhelmed by life and have been trying to keep it simple. But I hope things are well with you.

Creepy? Hmmm I suppose so, to some extent. It's a bit eerie, his photos are so convincing that it takes a while to realise that they all have something slightly 'wrong' with them.

Completely understandable. It's good to keep the internet at bay, to keep it real and simplify for our psyches. And I'm doing fine these days (finally) just contemplating how to explore that next step.

Well I meant creepy in a eery sort of way...somethings wrong and that sort of 'happy' campy exotified capitalist sexualized colonialization implied in some of the pictures is kinda creepy.

Currently online watching UBUWEB: Documentary about performance artist Marina Abramoviç: "Balkan Baroque": http://is.gd/95AIl

peace and positive vibes for you :)

Oops I don't know why I didn't respond to this earlier; I thought I had but that was just in my head!

Really good point -- I know that at least part of his stated intention is to take the objectification/sexualisation of native people in art and turn it around entirely. Your comment made me think about his work in a more critical way, but I'm still not sure where I stand.

Thank you for the vibes :D I'm sending a bunch of the same back to you.
