Lol, i re-read that subject line this morning and realized it sounded kind of grouchy, but really, i meant that it's not like there's the huge volume of posts that there were 5 years ago that necessitated cutting the long stuff to keep friends pages clear.

I still use and love LJ for totally different reasons than FB. I read it every day. And I'm germinating posts...I just don't have the brain or emotional wherewithal to put them together right now. But I LOVE reading you (and MLE).

As for Joe Biden, he is officially my hero right now. Now that needs to be blasted from the loudspeakers, plastered on tee shirts and repeated to every child every day from birth. I would only add one phrase to it: no matter what your relationship with her. Both times I was raped it was by someone I was in some sort of relationship with, one of them a long-term boyfriend. And I would change the pronouns to gender neutral because this happens to men, too. Bit of a touchy subject for me...

Yeah, he was specifically talking to a group of young men at Yale, as there have been some huge issues with frats at the university treating women like objects. In general I agree on the gender neutral pronouns, though! .

I still post on LJ...just not as much as I used to. And things like one-line posts end up on FB, whereas I tend to put longer stuff on LJ.

My in-laws used to keep theirs in the garage, until it was stolen from, years having lost the key & them never locking it.
Your deck is high-up, so that shouldn't happen to you. Don't tell your neighbours if you keep meat in it, though..

And I miss you. My daughter just started sewing (she is 13 now). A friend bought me a sewing machine a few years ago and she got fed up with me not doing anything with it, lol.
