In memoriam: Lisa Schmidt, lourdesmont

My friend Lisa Schmidt passed away of pancreatic cancer on Wednesday, August 26, at one am. Her brother Jeff just called me to let me know. He says "thank you" to her other internet friends for all of your love and support of Lisa, and that, in the end, all of her life will come down to the memories and love she leaves behind, that this is her

((Hugs)) to you dear. This is so very hard for me, and I only knew her for such a small time. You were friends with her for so long.

She now has a joy like she has never known.

Somehow, the rest of us must pick up and move on. We will never forget her.

It's true, she has a joy that we can only imagine, but we are left here, in the world of suffering, to miss her and mourn what kinship we might have forged in the fullness of time.

I am still going to count on meeting her at that big party in the sky when we're all dead and we can party together, in joy and love.
