Taewoon could tell the day was going to get worse as soon as he stepped into the gym. The group of kids gathered to the side could only mean one thing, and he sighed as he walked further in, waiting for class to start so they could just get it over with.
As soon as the teacher left - after giving the students their assignments, of course - it started.
"You sure took off fast yesterday," the ringleader said, shoving Taewoon's shoulder. "Scared or something?"
Taewoon just looked at him and then turned away, only to find himself surrounded. Great. Again? He was tired of this, tired of everything. Rolling his eyes, he turned back.
"See? You just can't get away, can you?"
It would have been a normal day. He usually could just shrug this guy off, and his friends, and deal. But today he'd had one of those days where nothing had gone right - he'd slept through his alarm, missed the first bus, got in late, had detention that night for it….
It all just built up.
"What have I done to make you hate me," Taewoon asked, teeth clenched.
The boy stepped forward, into his personal space, and smirked. "You exist."
"Get off," Taewoon snapped, and pushed him away.
Only it wasn't quite a push, because the kid went flying, landing some feet away and sliding even further. It felt weird, too, like there was something more than just his muscles behind it.
The crowd around him broke up, going to check on their fallen leader, and then the teacher came in, demanding to know what had happened. Frustrated and a little freaked out, Taewoon didn't say anything, folding his arms again to hide just how weird he found the whole thing.
