I have noticed, but I did not wish to question the convenience of it. After all, it removes some of the opportunities for there to be misunderstandings due to meanings being lost in translation. [ Lord knows there are enough misunderstandings as things now stand. ]

For all we know, none of us are speaking a language that we once inherently knew. Language, in this case, is subjective. The important fact is that we are unhindered in understanding the words of others, regardless of their origins.
