So weird

I've been feeling so nostalgic for the X-Men before they were revamped for movies. It's weird. I made Rylie watch some of the animated series with me this weekend. Good thing she likes it. Now, I'm stuck imagining all the ways they could make another movie and NOT fuck it up. Ugh.

I'm going to go see Joni play this Saturday, which should be fun.

I was just putting together an entry about being a fan and how invested to get in a fandom, and this is totally something I was thinking of. Ever get REALLY FRUSTRATED when you think about things like this? Like, "Damn, I would totally have done *this* and it would have all been better. It's a curse and blessing to love something, even if your only thought is "PLEASE DO NOT LET THIS SUCK!", you know?

When you say "Joni" are you talking about "Joni Mitchell"? Agh. I could just look at older posts to see if its her or a new Joni, but I'm just... wah.

Meh. I get annoyed, but I don't get too upset. If I'm writing a review - like for True Blood - I'll make a whole bunch of noise about it, but that's mostly for the sake of controversy and entertainment. I do get kind of heated when a character I love is totally rewritten or interpreted in a way contrary to the original author's intention, but usually I stomp my feet for a week or so and then I'm done. I do like to imagine how awesome things would be if they were done how I wanted though. LOL

Joni Davis - she's a musician friend of mine, though I haven't run into her in a while. We went to high school together. Entry is here: http://andacus.livejournal.com/154466.html

*LOL* I have a feeling that my "controversy and entertainment" radar gets broken sometimes.

Is Joni Davis on iTunes?

You said it, not me. *whistles and looks innocent*

She is. She's distinctive and kind of interesting. Not everyone's cuppa, but I like it.

I was not fond of the last X-Men Movie (X Men 3). The Wolverine one was ok, but I don't like it when director's take too much license and drastically change the storyline.

I agree about Itunes.

Yeah me either. The Wolverine movie wasn't as bad as I expected it to be so that's something. They screwed up a fair bit and the timelines don't really make a whole lot of sense. But it had my Comic Boyfriend Gambit in it who is played by the same guy who plays my TV Boyfriend so it's okay. LOL

iTunes should be outlawed.
