This is one of my favourite fics from the meme so far, so I'm glad to see it reposted. :D Every time I read this, I get sucked into it and I feel so bad for Erik. Day 14 is the day I like the best (save for the happy ending, of course), because it's so sad.

Ohhhh, this is brilliant, brilliant! I utterly adore this.

I loved the Ground Hog Day concept and each replay where Erik makes the same basic mistake with minor tweaks unable to comprehend the basic failing that causes each tragic outcome. I loved the day where he begs Charles not to make the same argument, to stop him, to make him stop. But I couldn't see how you were going to end this, or I should say, how he was going to realize that there was another way. Letting him begin to see Moira as someone he can both respect and understand, as a person with the same kinds of strengths and failings he's prey to. She's a person, not "the enemy". And then his moment of empathy where he finally understands what Charles has been trying to say...well if you heard a high-pitched squeak a few minutes ago that was me seeing that you were going to pull not only a believable ending but a happy one too.
