This is completely, totally, and deliriously wonderful. Your Adams and Pratchett sympathies in particular I strongly approve of and endorse. I think you've made a lovely interpretation of their spirit and attitude, and made it work in your own way. Well done you =]
Are you a fan of Diana Wynne Jones at all?
Anyway, I love your style and voice: somehow matter-of-fact/deadpan and effectively suggestive at the same time, very suited to Arthur's own attitude and reactions to the things that keep happening around/to him.
Overall, hugely funny and loads of fun, a genuine joy to read.
