The smut is hot, but it's the thoughtfulness of your writing that really makes this fic work for me. It is difficult to write in-character smut, let alone smut with character development. I love how you've taken Sara's need to be good at what she does and shown how that spills over into her life outside of work, too. I also love the detail of how Nick always waits a moment, just to be sure.

This is my favorite passage: I wish I could tell him that I don’t know what to do with my arms, that I’m afraid of jabbing him with a misplaced elbow or shoulder. I wish I could tell him that I’m afraid of getting it wrong.

With a series like CSI, where we don't always get to see much of the characters' private lives, there are a lot of possibilities for how a sex scene might work, and they can be neat to explore. I'm so glad you find that this one fitting and real, and thank you so much for taking the time to tell me so!
