Fic rec - Star Trek reimagining

I don't often do fic recs - practically never - but this one made such an impression on me that I can't not recommend it. It's new Trek-verse, Spock/Uhura, by the talented misscam

True, very good. I didn't get enough background in the movie for the U/S-thing, so this was excellent. And there can never be too much emphasis on translation/communication issues in sci-fi, so this was very good in that too.

Thanks for the rec, it was really good.

I was like "what??" when I saw Spock and Uhura together in the movie, but yeah, it does make sense. And I too always enjoy linguistics. :-)
