How strange. The Harlan title is odd, but interesting.

I think the ethnographic evidence suggests that pre-epidemic American nations were pretty large. Specifically, across the 15th century, the Inka might have been the strongest polity on earth (see Felipe Fernandez-Armesto's "Civilization").

I am a fan of the Mexica. I still have not found a Mexica-involved title that is satisfactory enough, however.I am interested in all things Mexica, especially language.

And I checked out Uchronia. It is a sweet resource.
