thank god we're back. i honestly can hardly form words in my head for what it was like going back to new orleans... such a surreal experience. the best word i can come up with that can best describe that unfortunate city is thrashed. everywhere you look is damage, the streets are cleared but there's mountains of trash and debris piled high all ( Read more... )

we did lose some stuff to water damage/mold... but nothing incredibly valuable or important.

i don't know if n.o. will be in order by summer... it's been 3 months from the storm and it hardly looks any different. just... drier.

we're looking to go back next Sept. but that idea may have to be revised. all i have to say is that if it looks at that time similar to what it's like right now, no way in hell am i moving back.
