It turned out really well. Given that the outer layer is mostly separate from the inner layer I think the wrinkling is very well under control. (I know the modification that would have fixed those diagonal wrinkles on the sides, but I don't think describing it to you via text would have worked at all.)
I absolutely love the binding and the lacing you've chosen! I'm sure the shawl will be just spectacular! :D
