Donghae. As I begin to know you I’m even more captivated. The way you move so leisurely like you are without a care in the world, the way you close your eyes and smile when the wind blows and ruffles your beautiful brown hair; the way you sigh, clearly content, it all captures my interest. I knew you come here regularly. I have heard the beautiful way you play your guitar and sing along in such a beautiful voice. I have heard your accent lilting in the way you sing. And it intoxicates me. I hoped I would be able to talk to you one day, that I would be able to hear you sing without having to hide myself for fear of making you uncomfortable. But it seems I need not have worried. You appear to wear your heart on your sleeve, without much worrying about its consequences. Although this has made me glad regarding your reaction towards me, I would not like it for you to be so free with everyone. You seem innocent; I do not want you to get hurt.
Where is Bada today?
You widen your eyes in surprise and that makes me chuckle. I suspected you would react in a similar manner to the way you are reacting now. Your pet Bada sometimes found out that there was someone else present along with the two of you when you came here. Sometimes he would bark. Sometimes he would whine at you to get up and walk with him. And sometimes, he would just lay his head on your lap and sleep. I still remember once when he sneezed, perhaps due to the presence of flowers. The way you cooed over him still runs through my eyes and ears and makes me chuckle all by myself.
Bada is with my brother. He was too sleepy to get up.
I look up at you to grin and you roll your eyes at your dog's antics. I guess it’s a good thing you didn't bring him here today. If you had, he might have interrupted us, or you might have become more preoccupied with him than me. I don't think I would have liked that. Although seeing you cuddle him is one of the best things I have seen so far. You have a warm heart, don't you? The way you call his name with endearment and giggle when he licks you. I wonder if you would call me something endearing too.
I have a pet too. Choco.
You squeal. I wonder if it’s at the name or because I have a dog too. Maybe I should get him next time I come to see you. I hope he would hit it off with Bada and not distract you from me. I gaze at you while you write a note. You're smile reaches your eyes and I see a new vigour when you throw me the message.
You should have brought him with you! I love dogs^^
Next time we meet, let’s bring them. They'll get a companion too!
I look up in triumph at the way we think in a similar manner. You smile wide and nod your head. You seem as fascinated with the idea as me. This gets me thinking of what else we might have in common. But that I can think about later. I smirk to myself and send you another note.
But don't you think it might distract you from our date?
You give me the same reaction I was anticipating. You blush a deep pink and smile a shy smile. You do not seem to be upset at my brazenness or even mildly miffed. On the contrary, you seem to be eager to answer this time as you hasten to write. You pause, thinking what you should reply back to me with and I can barely contain myself because of it. I grow impatient when you linger with your hands still over the paper. I want to call out your name to ask you to hurry but then again, I don't want to. This sweet exchange that we are having, this communication, its special to me. Because it’s you. I do not want to break it, even if it means I’m growing more and more impatient every second. Finally you look up at me and gaze for a short while. What are you thinking? Your eyes sparkle in the bright afternoon sun and you have a small smile tugging at your lips. My fascination grows.
