Was thinking of buying that album. I randomly downloaded It's A Perfect Day Elise from her Is This Desire? album and am absolutely loving it.

do do do buy it. You're the girl who set me on old Polly Jane! Don't you have her entire back-catalogue? Just listening to Slow Drug song for about the 10th time.

Did I? Go me.

I've got Stories From The City, Stories From The Sea and Dry, and a few random tracks. I need to get more of her stuff...It's You from her Tragic Kingdom album is also dark and divine.

and there was me thinking It's You's off Uh Huh Her and Tragic Kingdom is a No Doubt album.. Sleepy, Alice? I spose it would be a weird and cool combo. You put Big Exit on a mix CD for me and I got a.d.d.i.c.t.e.d.

I've only heard one PJ Harvey song and I can't remember what it is (free Guardian CD of good music I listen to whenever babysitting to this family that organisedly keep all their free newsaper CDs) but I like it / her.

In other news, look at my icon. It's The Long Blondes. They're great. Do you know of them?

yup, from jiving. But Nadine.. You're only 19, for God's sake! Hahaha. Sadly, you're not. Giddy Stratospheres is a good modern morality song. I would say the album's shit hot, probs. They're so poserly-cool.

Want more Polly Jane Harvey? She is one girl, btw, born of west country hippies.

Hurray! NO ONE else knows them! I've been ineffectually pushing them for months. Then suddenly this summer they'll EXPLODE and be massive-cool and everyone will forget that I KNEW THEM FIRST. Y'know?

I might borrow organised-free-CD-peoples' CD when I'm next round there. It has some proper good stuff on it. An Amy Winehouse track - I thought she was a dull KT Tunstalleqse duller, but it's actually good.

I thought the Long blondes were super famous. They played that 19 song in the club on my 19th birthday, it was well apt.
I've never heard any P.J. Harvey... humph.

You forget Oxford has no indie clubs.
But, re: PJH, I was just thinking today that I owe you some musical goodness.. (And don't worry about reciprocating, since you have examens and all).

Do quite love 'ol Polly Jane. Found Stories... quite dull, haven't heard Uh Her Her, but To Bring You My Love is dark and brilliant. I think I need Rid Of Me, really, that's meant to be the ultimate...
