Well, I'm over the magical 70,000 word mark. Which means I've got to adjust my damned word meter. I wrote another 2,141 today. I kind of like this particular scene. But I'm behind. Again. I'd hoped to get further than I did. Lots of words, but the scene ain't done.

At this point I figure if I can't laugh, I'm a goner.
The story is a J2AU. It's set in the future and features a Jared, who in an effort to save his family, sells himself as a bondmate, which is a legalized form of slavery.
Naturally, Jensen is the one who purchases him. :-)
His story is that his heart was broken by his wife, who left him, choosing her career over him. He has since thrown himself into his own career and is too gun shy to allow himself to fall in love again. So he purchases Jared as a companion, thinking that having someone he can control is the perfect answer to his problems.
I'm guessing you can imagine where things go from there. ;-) Add in a bit of intrigue, h/c, kidnapping, imprisonment, torture, and a daring rescue, and you have my story.
Or you would have it...if I ever finish it. :-|
