Jack Layton passed away this week. Leader of the Official Opposition since the spring election, he had long been a politician I admired for his promotion of positive change in an age of attack. Many other Canadians felt the same.

His final letter is, to my mind, one of the most inspirational pieces of political discourse I've seen in our lifetime
