Taken from celandineb As was demonstrated in an interview with Katie Couric, Sarah Palin is unable to name any Supreme Court case other than Roe v. Wade. Can you do better

Ah, the way in which that whole election aftermath was acted out brings back painful memories, yup.
I believe the Supreme Court still represents something very important in the country's legal system. I was always taught to respect the three branches of government, with the checks and balances that they brought to the system. I believe arguments against the roles and responsibilities of the courts made in the last twenty or thirty years is a major factor in the problems facing the American body politic today.
Yeah, my problem isn't really with concept of the court but with the politicization of the current supreme court. (And I know it's not the first court to have a political agenda, it's just the one we're living with now -- and they should have butted the hell out of the election).
If I really want to have nightmares I can imagine President Palin appointing James Dobson to the court...
Oh, I agree! I've been teaching our daughters about that ruling, recently. We got talking about the craziness of racism and when one of the girls mentioned that she couldn't understand how some parents still are upset if their children date people of another race, I told her that, not that long ago or far away, that kind of relationship was against the law. It made them boggle so they looked up some of the history when we got home.
