Ouch! Poor Goldie! Mai had a UTI when she was younger, and there is little that is more pathetic than a dog with a bladder infection. Thank goodness that antibiotics kick in quickly! I wish her a speedy and comfortable recovery.

I bought my first new tube of mascara

I read that as "first new tub of mascara" and thought, 'Hmmm. A tubful? Really? We can buy them that way?' (This is how Elspeth's Heir knows that she woke up too early this morning.)

You're right about pathetic dogs with UTIs. I felt so bad that I hadn't gotten her to the vet any earlier, but she really didn't have any symptoms yesterday.

Tub o' mascara! That sounds like something that could be the start of a great comedy sketch, no?

And I love your puppy icon.

Mascara! I need some - I bought new makeup recently, and was wondering what I was forgetting...

Hope Goldie is feeling better soon - she is a very lucky doggie for having such observant and caring owners :)

Well, I'm trying to remember to present myself in a polished, professional way that means I should probably replace all the makeup that I have that has been hanging around for years and years and. . . well, it's embarrassing to think how old some of this stuff is, actually!

So, let's remind each other to check our makeup bags and see what else we're missing!

Thanks -- poor thing really was terribly uncomfortable and unhappy for about half the day but she's sleeping well tonight, having shoved the draft dodger from the front door entrance so she can suck up the bit of chill air that escapes from underneath there!
