You make me think of that Staples commercial with the dad basically dancing through the store buying back-to-school supplies for his kids. Made me laugh every time.

Precisely! Except, this time of year I don't even have to buy school supplies.

But Staples is sooooo nice. . . .

Staples is pure office-supply porn for me, especially all the pens. I could walk the aisles for hours, buying things I have no earthly use for, just for the pure visceral joy of it.

Post-It notes and lovely bond paper. Those are my joys!

Oh, I am soooooo in agreement.

Hey, when are you teaching? What day can we do lunch and general bitching?

and how hot is this icon?

Very hot icon, yes!

I'm teaching Monday morning seminar 9:30-12:30. And, erm, the grad class is still up in the air. Either 10-12:30 or 6-8:30 on alternating Tuesdays. And Approaches Tuesday nights at 7-10.

Remind me to tell you how much fun it was to be setting up the schedule for Tuesday night teaching two courses simultaneously (so not my idea). Basically, I have things so my GTA shows a buttload of movies and runs tutorials, as well as throwing in a midterm for S&G.

Anyhoo, I have office hours Monday afternoon 1:30-3 and sometime on Thursday whenever I feel like it. Free on Wednesdays, too.

Lunch on Wednesday? Noon? Tony V's? :D

And have I mentioned how happy I am that I am not your TA this year? With my luck, all the movies would be from "Civilization". And we both know how well that would work.

And ... this is my other icon of Kowalski hotness. I am soooooo easy.

Lunch on Wednesday!

You would be happy to be my TA right now -- no Western Civ. However, I'm showing films from "The World at War" plus "Moll Flanders" and two episodes of "Civilization" (the Renaissance ones!).

Yeah School!

Over the break one of my Mom's neighbors asked if I was homeschooling the boy. Had to work v. hard not to sportle and laugh. The phrase "what have you been smoking?" almost got past the brain buffer before it was edited into a reasonably acceptable response about learning styles and socialization.

Yeah School!

I know. It's just like the people who asked me, when I was pregnant, when I was quitting my job. And I was like, "NOoooooo! When I'm dead!" but a teensy bit more polite!
