Since I've been going to an endocrinologist to get my thyroid meds tweaked, I was debating whether I even needed to see my regular doctor this year--the only prescription drug I'm on currently is my thyroid meds, and it's not like a yearly pap smear is strictly necessary for someone like me. ;-) But I've been having issues with my lower back to the ( Read more... )

Diclofenac Sodium (Voltaren) is pretty good stuff for arthritis. Just be sure you take if with food and be aware that like all anti-inflammatories, it does thin your blood, so you may find that you bruise more easily, especially if you take it twice a day. Also, it can change the Ph in your mouth, so you may get gum inflammations or mouth ulcers. (ain't gettin' old fun?). But if it helps your back, it's worth it. You may find that taking it once a day will work for you, which will minimise side effects.

In case you hadn't guessed, I have taken it for years for my arthritis. :)

I hope you're feeling better soon. Now you're making me feel even older. I've been putting off going to the doctor with a swollen finger joint that I think may be arthritis. :D
