God, (so to speak) I loved this post. And I love you. Not thrilled with the head of your board of trustees, or the Supreme Court.

Going to have to post the Bad Theology Beavers memes on my office door!

Aw, thank you! And yes, I'm hoping that the opinions of the board won't matter, but I know better than to make any assumptions in that regard.

Ha, I'm sure they will be enjoyed there! :)

I love those bad theology beavers, and you, my friend, are awesome.

I'm so sorry you have your mother standing against your physical well being, and that of so many of us. I hope some sense comes to her somehow.

*many hugs*

Aw, thanks. :)

What really bothers me about it is that Mom, being a former labor and delivery nurse, should be aware of the science behind these things and the consequences when they aren't used. And yet she supports this decision... unfortunately, I'm fairly certain the blame for that lies on the radio she listens to and email newsletters she gets. *sigh*

**hugs back**

It's so scary that these inane FOX news clones can erase what someone learned from years of medical training and practice--how does someone let that happen? I know it's common, but I don't understand it. I guess it's a longing to belong with that reassuring voice, that daily habit makes those commentators into for the listener. And how do you sneak NPR into their daily listening regimen? (-;

I know! I really, really wanted to make a snide comment about how Viagra is always covered by insurance even though it has no therapeutic use aside from the obvious, but I decided it was better not to open that can of worms on Facebook. ;)

I am outraged that once again my rights as an adult human have been usurped by someone else's religious beliefs.

Indeed. And yet if it were any other religion involved, those same people would be raising holy hell.
