I have to agree that Holmes is looking at some long term damage from that hook. I wince just thinking about it!

No, just a happy coincidence. :) (I'd been half-heartedly working on this for so long that I made finishing it part of my weekend to-do list, haha.)

I know, right? It'll be interesting to see if they do anything with that in the next movie. I found it difficult to decide for the fic just how he would be affected, though it's fairly safe to say he would be in *some* fashion.

I really loved this. I can defiintely see there being lasting damage from what Moriarty did. And this is very in character, and for the times, by not having Holmes wallow in it, but just quietly soldier on with the loss. Well done!
