I am one of those who can handle a death fic that is well done - and this is VERY well done!! The relationships you've drawn all seem so realistic - esp. with the children and Frodo-lad. I think Sam is going to have the hardest time of all - Frodo spoke his feeling so well and Rosie will be able to look at this much like Frodo does I think. I for one am so glad you are sharing this with us - *hugs*

Thank you! *blushes* Writing the family relationships was difficult at first, but I guess I'd been thinking about it so long that eventually they just kind of came to life in my head. :p

Yes, Sam will certainly have the hardest time of all. That I can say for certain. ;)

I'm relieved to hear you say so! All of what you're saying is what I was trying to aim for while writing, but it's so hard to tell how it's going to come across when you're the one who wrote it. ;)

Thanks for sticking with it this far, dear! *hugs*

This is very sad, but so tenderly written.

Which is basically what I was going for, so... yay. ;)

To contemplate your own death without sentimentality or fear requires the kind of selfless nobility with which Frodo excells. I think it must be as difficult to write it. A very moving and generous account.

You know, that's a good point. I hadn't thought of it that way while writing it, but it makes sense. :) And thank you! Parts of it were difficult to write, yes, but it can be a good way to think about things.
